New Taxation Dates
With the recent changes to the Municipal Government Act dealing
with Local Assessment Review Boards, the Village is going to have
to change the dates that taxes are due. The calendar year for taxes
of January 1 to December 31 will remain the same; however the due
date will change from September 30 to June 30. The Combined
Assessment / Tax Notice will be mailed out May 1. The
Assessment/Tax Roll will be open May 1 to June 15. Assessment
complaints must be filed by June 15.
Council has agreed that this year (2010) taxes will remain due
by September 30; however starting in 2011, taxes will be due June
30.
