Mayor Bob Lehman
Bob Lehman was born and raised in Onoway. His parents had a
cabin on Lac Ste. Anne in the 1940s and it serves as a second home
to Bob's family. Bob built a home in Val Quentin in 1992 and in
1999 he officially retired to the lake.
Bob has been actively involved in the community. He played
hockey, baseball and curled. He coached Pee Wee hockey for 12
years. Bob was the founding president of the Onoway Agricultural
Society, helping to fundraise and build the Onoway arena.
Bob is also the past president of Onoway Curling Club. He is
currently the chairman of the Regional Recreation Board in Lac Ste.
Anne County. He is a member of the Alberta Beach Snowmobile Club
and volunteers on the Trail Committee as a groomer-operator. He is
also a member of the Onoway Fish and Game Club.
Bob was elected to County Council, Division 1, for two terms;
one year as Deputy Reeve. While on council, he was appointed a
voting member of the Edmonton Regional Planning Commission. He was
also elected chairman for the Yellowhead Regional Commission. While
on these two Commissions, Bob was involved in land use plans,
subdivisions, regional plans and lake management plans. As chairman
of the lake management plans for Lac Ste. Anne, Lake Isle, Lac La
Nonne and Sandy Lake, Bob promoted lake stewardship to protect
these lakes for future use.
In 1982, Bob was recognized by Alberta Recreation and Parks for
outstanding volunteer contributions to municipal recreation
development.
Deputy-Mayor Roger Montpellier
Roger Montpellier was born in Morinville, Alberta in 1946. He
moved to Edmonton in 1958 and lived there until 1993. After being a
seasonal resident of Yellowstone and Corsair Cove on the north
shore of Lac Ste Anne for thirty five years, Roger became a
permanent resident of Val Quentin in 1994. He married Vivianne in
1970 and has two children. Son Allan lives in Boston Massachusetts
with wife Feliz and two daughters, Katherine and Aimee. Roger and
Vivianne's daughter Carolyn lives in South Cooking Lake with
husband Lonnie Bilyk and two sons, Tristan and Jaret.
Roger worked as an electrician until 1980 prior to working for
Morgan Dowhan Engineering and he has worked at electrical design
since.
Roger entered politics to try and make Lac Ste. Anne and Val
Quentin a better place. He is interested in lake stewardship and
new wetlands.

I have been a full-time resident of Val Quentin since May 2007.
I am married to my wife Jo-Anne. I have two married
daughters, Robyn and Lindsay, and four grandchildren, Ethan, Maryn,
Meagan and Owen.
I bring over 40 years of management and fiscal
planning experience to my position as your
Councillor. My family and I love living and
playing in Val Quentin. My mandate is to sustain the natural beauty
of the Village and to make it safe and family
oriented.
I look forward to meeting many of you over the next three years to
discuss your concerns or suggestions for further growth.
